Trick for Windows XP Vista 7

Always see the current date in the task bar

  The single-line task bar always displays the time but there is no place
for the date. However, if your monitor is
big enough, you can enable this without much trouble. For this, right-click on the border and make sure that a tick mark is not set in front of the ‘Lock the task bar’ option in the context menu. You need to deactivate this option and then place the information. Subsequently, lock the taller task bar in place by activating the option ‘Lock the task bar’.
